Searcy First Reopening Guidelines

Greetings Searcy First Family,

The Relaunch Committee of Searcy FUMC has set July 19, 2020 as the starting date for in-person worship and activities, subject to AR Health Dept. guidelines. Please read carefully the guidelines set forward by our committee.

  • We will hold a minimum of 2 weekly worship services.

9:00 am service in Yancey Hall                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     

  1. Enter through covered pull-through and north doors, exit the same. Seating will be taped off based on reservations                                                                                                  

11:00 am service in Sanctuary                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       

  1. Enter north sanctuary doors, Narthex-Parking Lot Doors, seat front-to-back.                                                                                                                                                                                   
  2. Exit back-to-front through the same doors.. Available pews will be marked, all others roped off.
  • More services added if demand outweighs supply.
  • 9:00 and 11:00 services will continue to be broadcast via Facebook Live and 100.7 FM to encourage at-home worship for the vulnerable and uncomfortable.
  • All gatherings will be limited to 50 people until Health Dept. and Conference guidelines progress.                                                                                                                                           
  1. Please do not to enter if you have had a fever of 100.4˚or higher in the past 2 days                                                                                                                                                                     
  2. Have had a cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell or other symptoms typical of Covid-19                                                                                                                 
  3. Have had known exposure to someone with Covid-19 in the past 14 days
  • All spaces used will be disinfected before and after use.
  • All staff wear masks unless singing or speaking.
  • Masks required for all attendees                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             
  1. Limited masks will be available; please bring your own.
  • While we realize we cannot physically restrain attendees from singing, staff and signage will strongly encourage the congregation to refrain from singing.
  • Reservations will be taken for all services: Please let us know how many will attend and which service.

  • Restrooms are closed to congregation. 
  • Masked ushers will hold doors, guide attendees to reserved seating, we discourage gathering of attendees in lobbies, narthex, etc.
  • No childcare/nursery will be provided during worship gatherings.
  • Coffee nor donuts will be served.
  • Sunday School classes may meet indoors, but must let the church office know so that room(s) can be sanitized before and after.
  • Scouts may begin meeting immediately, provided they follow health dept. guidelines and sanitize any indoor space used.

Please keep in mind that this is a learning process for all of us and these guidelines are subject to change.
