Going Deeper

As we seek to grow in our relationship with God we learn how important we are to each other. We are accountable to God and to each other.

Christians don't see the words accountability and discipline as dirty words! It is through being accountable to God and to one another that we experience true freedom in Christ.

That's why we call one another to participate in the worship life of the church. Basic discipleship requires faithful participation in worship. Human beings are built to worship God.

We also encourage everyone at Searcy First to find a Sunday school class and small group. Sunday school happens every Sunday morning at 9:50a.m. in various locations around the church campus. And we're sure to have a class that's right for you!

The essence of our discipleship is bound up in the mutual bond that holds us together through the Baptismal Covenant (God's word to us, proclaiming our adoption by grace, and our word to God, promising our response of faith and love) and our membership vows as members of Christ's universal church where we pledge to be "loyal to The United Methodist Church, and do all in [our] power to strengthen its ministries" and as members of Searcy First vow to faithfully participate in its ministries by our prayers, our presence, our gifts, our service, and our witness.

What a privilege it is to be part of God's kingdom!
